Troubleshooting: Why Couldn’t My Message Be Sent?

If Yada shows “message could not be sent,” there are a few common reasons. This article walks through what to check first.

Common reasons

  • the guest does not have a valid phone number

  • the guest does not have a valid email

  • the selected channel is not enabled

  • your sending provider has a temporary issue

  • your number or destination country is not currently supported by the sending channel

  • an international number may require WhatsApp instead of SMS

What to check

  1. Open the contact record and confirm the guest has a valid phone number or email

  2. Make sure you selected the correct channel

  3. Confirm your sending account is connected

  4. Check your balance or billing settings if you use a provider like Quo

  5. If the guest is international, confirm whether SMS is supported for that destination

If your balance is fine but sending still fails

This may be a provider-side or integration issue. Contact Yada support at team@yada.ai with:

  • the guest name

  • the message type

  • the channel used

  • the approximate time of the failed send
