How to Integrate Yada with Slack

This guide will walk you through setting up the Slack integration with Yada, allowing you to receive notifications directly in your Slack workspace.

Benefits of Slack Integration

  • Get workflow notifications and approval requests
  • Assign specific notification types to different Slack channels
  • Configure notifications by listing or globally

Integration Process

  1. Navigate to the Integrations tab in your Yada admin portal
  2. Find the Slack integration and click "Activate"
  3. Click the "Add to Slack" button that appears
  4. A new tab will open prompting you to log into Slack
  5. Select the Slack workspace where you want to add Yada
  6. Click the "Allow" button to authorize the integration
  7. Wait for the confirmation message that Yada has been successfully integrated with Slack

Configuring Your Notifications

After the integration is complete:

  1. Click the "Reload Channels" button to pull in all available Slack channels
  2. Open the Slack channel dropdown menu
  3. Select the channel where you want to receive notifications
  4. Use the toggle switches to turn specific notification types on or off

Managing Your Integration

  • You can change notification channels at any time
  • Add new Slack channels by creating them in Slack, then clicking "Reload Channels" in Yada
  • Toggle all notifications on/off with a single switch

Note: The "Conversations Inbox Channel" feature has been deprecated. All communications are now handled through the "Notifications and Events" module.
