Integrating Yada with Hostaway

Instructions on how to integrate Yada with Hostaway. Quickly integrate Yada with your Property Management System in seconds

Getting Started

Integrating Hostaway with Yada is a very easy process. All you’ll need is your API key from the Hostaway marketplace! The integration process takes place in the background and usually takes only a few seconds.

 

Obtaining an API key

To start integrating Hostaway with Yada you’ll need to copy your Hostaway API key.

Here’s how you get it.

1 - Head over to the Hostaway marketplace tab and find the Yada card

Hostaway does not have a search feature in their marketplace page so you will need to ctrl+f to bring up the search bar and type in yada.

Alternatively, you can scroll until you find the yada marketplace entry. It will look like this:

Click on the marketplace card for yada. Once you are in the page, click on the green connect button

This will bring up the integration token popup. Click on the create button for a new secret access token.

This will take you to the next popup which will show your account id  and your integration token. You will need to copy both of these in order to integrate the two systems.

Once you have both of these, you can head over to app.yada.ai to complete the integration

What happens next?

Once you have your account id and integration token, head over to the integrations page in yada and click on the Hostaway integration.

Once you are in the hostaway integration page, paste in the account ID and integration token you retrieved in a previous step. Then click integrate

Once you have pasted your integration token, simply click the Integrate button. And you're good to go!

Connecting the Yada Chat Widget

1 - Copy Yada Widget Code

If you have a Hostaway direct booking site, integrating the Yada chat widget is incredibly simple. Simply go to the Widget page in yada and copy the widget code.

2 - Paste the code into Hostaway

1. Navigate to the Booking Engine tab
2. Within booking engine click settings
3. Or you can click on the settings tab within the booking engine
4. Then click Advanced
5. Then paste the yada code into the scripts text box.
6. Finally click save

Congratulations! The yada widget is now on your Hostaway direct booking website, and is collecting data, enabling live chat, and serving popups.

What happens next?

Once you have integrated yada with Hostaway, the following things will happen in short order.

1. Your Hostaway listings will be imported into yada. This happens in real time
   1. All amenities are real-time synced with Hostaway. Please ensure that your amenities are correctly toggled in Hostaway.
   2. Custom Fields and Saved Replies will also be synced between Hostaway and Yada. Please ensure that your custom fields and saved replies contain accurate, up-to-date information.
2. Your existing reservations and guests will be imported into yada - this may take a couple of hours depending on the number of guests and reservations you historically have.
3. Webhooks are created to listen to new messages and conversation - the inbox will start populating almost immediatel
